Ok, so you've probably noticed I'm a few days behind, it seems my version of a 30 day challenge is going to have to be a little more fluid. Life and other things seemed to have gotten in the way, along with a broke down car and mishap with the WildFire app. I'm not worried though and you shouldn't be either - I will finish this challenge just maybe a little more than 30 days.
Today, I found my way to Hillcrest and into Yoga on First - an extremely cute and quaint place off the main drag. The entire space fits into an average studio in North County - I mean this place is small. There were about six of us in class and that was full! As usual, I signed up for the class without any expectations or knowledge of what the class was to be. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a non-heated vinyasa. Yea!
The class was perfect for my mood, even though I totally would have given it 100% I really wasn't interested in working that hard or venturing into handstands and arm balances - luckily we didn't have too. The teacher guided us through a simple, relaxing class with an extra nice savasana, complete with essential oils and soothing music to calm us.
Some studios hit you immediately, whether it's their teachers, their style, their decor, their location - usually something will grab you and you know instantly that you love it or not. Will return, or not. Will bring a friend or not. Honestly I think Yoga on First may require a little bit of warming up to. I really enjoyed the class, the teacher was phenomenal and overall it was easy to get to and easy to find parking. I just don't know what more to say, so perhaps you should go and try it for yourself!
