Note to self do not mix Orangetheory + BUTI yoga + The Fit Mill. My body is officially screaming at me. I have officially sweated out more than I have consumed in water, and my muscles in places I didn't realize I worked, are soar. I think I may have over done it. The Fit Mill surpassed any expectation (although I try not to have any going to new places), our coach - Tish Gehringer was so cool. She demoed every exercise, supported us on the journey and was the ultimate cheerleader! The Fit Mill is just one of many popular High Intensity Circuit Training boutique studios in Carlsbad. Located next to Mantra Yoga + Juice Bar - you can get your hardcore workout on then pop over next door to refresh with a juice.
There are six stations, each station consist of four exercises, you're in each station for about 6-7 minutes. The coach demos and explains each exercise then starts the clock.
It's hard! The rowing + cycling are the most challenging parts. They are strategically placed so either you're just getting started or you're already exhausted when you get to them. Both are designed to get your heart rate up so you can burn burn burn fat. We like that!
Having a weakness for tin ceilings and open floor plans, The Fit Mill is beautifully designed. Everything is out in the open with lots of good light coming in. They have a number of fantastic teachers on staff but I'm a little bias toward Tish (we go way back!).
