When I look back on my life just nine months ago, when I first "decided" to step into this new role - to listen to the calling in my heart. I was terrified. I knew instinctively I could do it, I could own it; but even at the time I was thinking, I could fake it until it felt real. The idea behind faking it till you make it does help but I believe now that the knowing you can, counts for even more.
When I made the decision to move my life forward in a way that would benefit not only myself but the community at large. People, support, opportunities, more money showed up to assist in my efforts. I remember watching a YouTube video by Peta Kelly where she spoke of getting the courage to do something even before your confidence in your abilities shows up.
It takes courage to shift the way you see the world and there by act differently in the world. The walk can be lonely, which is why it's even more important to be confident in your way, your vision, your mission. When you have the courage to start that walk and go on a path that may not look like others, or even the path you thought that was destined for you - the world will open up.
Confidence will pour in the more courageous you are, the more you keep going and don't stop - confidence in what you're doing will grow. You'll get confirmation that you're heading in the right direction and even when it feels scary and you start to doubt yourself, the Universe, the Angels, God, Allah, whatever you believe will show up and walk beside you to give you strength.
My favorite Gabby Bernstein quote of all times is, "If you knew who walked beside you at all times on the path that you have chosen, fear would be impossible".
