Feeling overwhelmed with Social Media?

Feeling overwhelmed with Social Media?

Hiring a professional to manage your business’ various social media accounts may seem like an unnecessary expense at first glance. However, it is an option you should thoroughly consider. In the modern technological climate, social media is a near constant presence in most people’s lives.

Some may consider this phenomenon exclusive to the younger generation, but some sites, like Facebook, are frequented by all age demographics. Hiring a social media manager will make sure that you are putting your best foot forward on each potential customer’s accounts.

The Result is Worth the Cost

Though most business owners know that social media is an important part of their marketing, it is easy to think of it as something simple that you can do yourself. Sure, making a Facebook post every occasionally is probably something a member of your team could take on, but this does not constitute a social media manager.

A true social media manager will have experience reaching different audiences, and knowhow with various social media platforms. Generally, one account is not enough in today’s market. To really get the word out, you have to be posting the right kind of eye catching stuff on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, even Instagram or LinkedIn, and many other platforms. The more accounts you have, the more people you reach, the more customers you get, but managing them becomes a full time job.

Your social media manager can also help you decide which platforms you want to use and what you want to post. Maybe your product is great for Facebook users, but Instagram is not your target audience. Or, maybe you want different strategies for the different mediums. Your social media manager will advise you on all of this and make it happen.

A Leg Up in a Competitive Market

Chances are if you are a business owner, you are dealing with competition from other sellers. Hiring a social media manager, especially a good one, in this context, will give you a leg up on your competitors. You want to make sure you hire someone with training and preferably some prior experience, so that they know how to really reach an audience, not just how to barrage them with posts.

The purpose of social media is not just to accrue followers, but to engage them with your business and your product.

The Pros And Cons Of Social Media Marketing and When to Outsource - Pt 1

Brandi Daniels

When is it time to hire a VA?

When is it time to hire a VA?

Anyone who has been on the Internet in recent years can tell you how popular social media has become. However, it isn’t only popular for people to keep up with their friends and family, it is also extremely popular in the world of business. If you are looking to increase your Internet presence and need help to make your business grow, then you might want to look into marketing on social media. With that being said, read on below for some of the pros and cons of social media marketing that you might want to consider before taking the plunge.

Pro: It’s a Low-Cost Option

If you are just starting out in your business, then you already know how important budgeting can be. Not only are most of the social media sites, like Facebook and Twitter, free to join, they are also easy to navigate, and most of the tools you need to advertise are low cost or free as well. This gives you the opportunity to enjoy marketing on social media, see if it’s right for you, and save money at the same time.

Con: Places High Demands on Your Time

The one bad thing about social media is that it is a big time drainer. You need to have plenty of time to keep up with posting, answering questions and comments, and just checking up on your page on a regular basis. Too many new business owners, this is almost too much, on top of everything else they are trying to do to get their business off the ground. In this case, it may be better to hire a professional to handle your social media marketing, if it is something you can afford.

Pro: Caters to a Wider Audience

One thing that is awesome about social media is the fact that they cater to a wider audience. Instead, of having a target audience that is local or only in your state, social media allows you to reach out to your target audience, even in other countries. This is one of the main reason that people have turned to social media for their marketing needs.

The One Thing You're Not Doing That's Killing Your Business!

Brandi Daniels

Are You Talking To The Right Audience?

Are You Talking To The Right Audience?

Who are you serving?

I think we can all agree that YOUR business revolves around your target market. Actually, just about everything you do for your business from blogs, ads, creative, new products should revolve around them. Without an audience, it will be impossible to grow and thrive. Marketing to your ICA (Ideal Client Avatar) can be a full time business - so it's important to get clear on WHO YOU SERVE!

  • *How old is she?
  • *What does she do for a living?
  • *Where does she shop?
  • *What dose she read (books, magazines, blogs)
  • *What are her goals?
  • *What is her pain? What keeps her up at night?
  • *How can YOU help her?

Keep in mind NO MATTER what stage of business you're in having this data, this information on your ideal client is KEY. This can massively change the service you offer, the product you sell, even the content you're putting out. So if you haven't already, take some time to answer these questions..

I have a great Avatar Brainstorm worksheet available for FREE in my Resource Library on my site. That along with lots other free worksheets, eBooks and offerings to help you grow your business. Link in comment section, So feel free to check it out.

Why is Social Media Marketing KEY to Your Success.....

Brandi Daniels

Social media + Digital Marketing

Social media + Digital Marketing

Social media…the debate over whether it is good, bad, or a little bit of both has raged on since the invention of the first social media website. If you want to make it in business, in today’s world, however, then you have to be sure that you know quite a bit about social media and social media marketing as well.

It comes as a surprise to many people when they find out that sites like Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, and others are not just places to talk to your friends, post statuses and look at the meals that others prepared for dinner. For business owners who are trying to reach a target audience and increase visitors to their websites, not to mention increase their sales, social media is a place to market and reach out to millions of potential customers all over the world.

With that being said, it’s important to note that if you don’t know what social media marketing is, then it’s not going to do you much good. Read on below for what it is and how it can help your business to grow to be the success you want it to be.

Social media marketing by definition is the process of gaining more traffic to your website by getting people’s attention through social media sites. In plain English, it means that you need to put the word about your business out on sites that have tons of people on them 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Not only can you reach people easily on social media, but it's also possible to find your target audience and not waste time with advertising to people that couldn’t care less about the product you’re trying to sell.

Social media marketing can help you target your audience and then get the word out there so that people who are looking for what you sell will hear about you and click on your website. This gains you, viewers, boosts your rankings with Google and may lead to more customers for you as well and isn’t that what it’s all about?

Brandi Daniels

Listen up network marketers, creatives and entrepreneurs. If networking is in your wheel house (or even if it's not) this blog post is FOR YOU!

Want to close more sales? Make more money and grow your following faster and stronger?

Check out this short video and start using these tips TODAY and see the results immediately!

  1. Observe - Be observant to what people are talking about around you. What are people's pain points, challenges, problems?
  2. Intentional vs Agenda - Go out and be intentional about making new friends and connections. Don't have an agenda to just sell to everyone that comes within arms length.
  3. Know when to quit - Keep it short and sweet - people are attracted to busy people so be on the move.  Invite them to coffee or lunch (if you have the time) to really sit down and have a conversation.
  4. Be kind + authentic - When giving compliments be sincere, don't just hand out compliments if you don't really mean it.  People can tell!
  5. Know how much to share - You don't have to give your whole life story in what should be a 30-45 second encounter.  Leave bread crumbs and keep the mystery.
  6. Follow up like a human! When it's time to follow up be a real person not a robot selling machine - truly be interested in catching up with them and seeing what's going on, LISTEN you might just find you're exactly the person that can help!

The Greeks We're Right on Time

Brandi Daniels

The Greeks created two words for time, one is Chronos - measured time. This is the time on the clock, the time that rules our day and our lives.  The other is Kairos - soulful time - time that speeds up or slows down and is all based on experience.  It's a measure of moments, not seconds. Referring to the right moment, the opportune moment.

What is my VALUE and how do I calculate my WORTH?

Brandi Daniels

Freddie collins photo unsplash money mindset

"When you know your worth you'll start charging appropriately. "

How much is your time worth?

Do you value your own time as well as others?

At what cost, is it enough to leave your child with a babysitter?

At what cost, will you do something you really don't want to for the sake of a dollar?

For as long as I can remember I've had this strange relationship with money.  I remember the day I realized that money could run out and the power of putting on a pretty dress and smile and asking for more.  I remember the day I realized that if I asked for X it might very well mean that Z wasn't going to happen, because 'we can't afford both'.  I remember when I said yes to something I didn't really want to do but an extra hundred in my pocket sounded good.

Money has controlled my life, it's caused me to do things I can't even fathomed now. It's affected my decisions and choices and caused me pain.  But was it really just 'the money' - after all money is just currency, it's just energy.  Two people can have a $100 bill and to one it means the world and the other it's not worth their time.  It might as well be pennies.  So what is it?

It's the value we place on money, on paper on coins - and in turn that value we place on ourselves and label it our worth. Whatever the trigger was for me at 11 years old - that woke me up to money and my naive thinking of where it came from stuck with me for years.  It's become my mission to change my relationship with money and thereby help other women along the way too.  Money mindset can truly mean the difference in YOU going for what you want and knowing that you deserve it or you putting off one more year because you don't think that you do.

Over the weekend, Boss Babes Brunch Club welcomed, Ashley Fierro - Celebrity make up artist and entrepreneur - she coached us on understanding the difference between value + worth. Value is simply math - how much something cost. 1+2= 3. No emotion. No story. Simple.  Worth is much deeper - worth has legs, tentacles and stretches deep into our soul.  It's tickled when you whisper it and aroused when asked.  Worth is tied to our belief system - a system of stories we've sold ourselves so many times that they seem real.  Worth is scary and touchy and uncomfortable.

"I'm telling you my girl, you better know your worth.. Everything that you want is yours..."

That is is exactly why it needs to be said.  Your worth is only something you can measure - no one else has the right or the ability to put a number on that for you.  It's a combination of what feels good, what it's value is to you and honestly what you might have to give up for it.

So, I challenge you to take a look inside and figure out your money story.  What's keeping you from charging what you should?  Whether it's higher or lower does it feel good?  Are you sacrificing success because you're afraid or jeopardizing your success because you're afraid? You see they are two sides of the same coin - when you don't know your worth how can you expect others too.

Homework to figure out your pricing (finding value in your products + services):

1. Take a hard look at your business and your offerings - then do some research.  Check out your competitors who are lower, higher and right in the middle of you.

2. Find out their pricing - see where you rank.

3. Chart out your expenses- rent, utilities, hard cost, soft cost, everything.

4. Look at your pricing - you SHOULD be covering your expenses as well as paying yourself, saving and your retirement NO MATTER WHAT. If you're not, it's time to start.

I GIVE YOU PERMISSION...

MLM - Why you DON'T want to be a part of this

Brandi Daniels

Mentorship Leadership Motivation

Mentorship Leadership Motivation

I'm going to be real straight with you.. MLM is NOT and is EVERYTHING you thought it was.

I'm here to warn you, because I don't want you to be caught off guard like I was.

I went in, both feet - expecting, believing that it was going to be a certain way; and then was blindsided with what I got.

What I found was MENTORSHIP

a place for me to grow, learn and be exposed to people that are where I want to be.  Doing, having and experiencing the life that I dream of - but is their reality.

What I learned was LEADERSHIP

....and still learning.  I walked in believing that a leader lead his people to the goods, and through his actions showed them what is possible. What I've learned is that a true leader, leads from the back.  Wants for YOU to be better, wiser, more successful than they are.  A true leader, implants a VISION of what is possible for you and gives you the tools to go make it happen.  A real leader isn't on speed dial, because she's given you the tools to figure it out on your own.

What I have is MOTIVATION

and plenty more by the day.  I'm motivated by the vision I have for my life. I'm motivated by my why. I'm motivated by my team - that depends on me and more importantly is running with me.  Sometimes I'm in the lead, sometimes I'm not but always my team, my people, my tribe are there supporting me along the way.

I really wish someone had told me what MLM really stood for, what I was getting myself into and what lie ahead - but honestly if you're not ready for this then you just aren't ready.  It's tough to be held accountable for your actions. It's hard to work for something that you'll only see the big payoff later on.  It's challenging to go out and connect with others and share something that's changed your life and you know could make a difference in theirs.

.....but you know, you could just continue to get up day after day, loathing your job and wanting more with no clear path on how to get it. Sure.. That wouldn't be to hard.

Trust me, you don't want any part of an MLM - especially if you're not ready to become the best version of yourself possible.  If you're not ready to co-create the career of your wildest dreams and change lives along the way.

XO,

Brandi

Choose your audience

Who is your ideal customer?

What does she want?

What is her pain? Her challenge?

What does she read?

What's her favorite blog? Magazine? TV show?

Who are her role models, mentors, educators?

The key to taking your business to the next level (or even the first level if it's just making your first sale) is to know WHO ARE YOU TALKING TOO!

"You DO NOT want everyone in your business.  You do not want to cater to everybody - do that and you WILL NOT be in business long. "

Want a simple way to figure out your ICA (ideal customer avatar)?

Think about your pain or challenge? What are you really good at, what's your GENIUS that you can help someone else figure out. Not sure what your genius is? We'll discuss more of that in the next blog. :-)

In the mean time, if you know what you want to do. How you want to do it, you HAVE TO know who you're selling it too.  Take some time today to get really clear on your customer, get to know her inside and out. Give her a name, treat her like your best friend and then help her.  When you're putting your message out there imagine that you're talking to HER (and only her).

This will make your marketing job A LOT easier..
